Ghana: Beaches & Breathtaking Coastlines
Ghana may be small on the map, but its history, culture, and natural beauty pack a serious punch. This eight-day adventure takes you from the coastal enclaves to lush forest reserves, blending powerful history with hands-on experiences. Walk the solemn grounds of Cape Coast Castle, once a departure point for enslaved Africans, and gain a deeper understanding of the country’s past. Then, shift gears and get creative with a Batik-making workshop led by local female artisans. Hike through Kakum National Park’s dense rainforest, soak up stunning coastal views, and meet the farmers of remote Ankasa Village for a taste of everyday life. This journey is a perfect mix of culture, nature, and connection - one that’ll stay with you long after you leave.

Highlights
Explore the UNESCO-listed Cape Coast Castle and uncover its deep cultural significance in Ghana’s history, Discover the art of Batik making from skilled female artisans in Elmina, Walk among the treetops on Africa’s world-famous rainforest canopy walkway in Kakum National Park, Hike or bike through lush trails to the breathtaking Bamboo Cathedral in Ankasa Reserve

Group Leader
This G Adventures group trip is accompanied by one of our group leaders, otherwise known as a Chief Experience Officer (CEO). The aim of the group leader is to take the hassle out of your travels and to help you have the best trip possible. They will provide information on the places you are travelling through, offer suggestions for things to do and see, recommend great local eating venues and introduce you to our local friends. While not being guides in the traditional sense you can expect them to have a broad general knowledge of the countries visited on the trip, including historical, cultural, religious and social aspects. We also use local guides where we think more specific knowledge will add to the enjoyment of the places we are visiting - we think it's the best of both worlds.
